We will initially be accepting applications for children entering kindergarten or first grade in the fall 2025 school year. Younger and older students will be added to the waitlist for future years as the child becomes of school age and/or the grade level becomes available. frequently asked questions

  • Is there a cost to attend HCA?
No, HCA is a tuition-free public charter school.
  • What grade levels will HCA go up to?
HCA will open in the fall of 2025 with kindergarten and first grade. Each subsequent year the next grade level will be added to the school (example: second grade added in 2026, third grade in 2027, etc). The school will eventually go up to eighth grade.
  • Where will HCA be located?
The property for the school will be purchased or leased in 2024. The property is set to be located in 77092.
  • How can I enroll my child?
Visit our enrollment page - click here.
  • Will before and after school care be available?
Yes, before and after school care will be available. More information will be posted prior to the school’s opening.
  • Will breakfast and/or lunch be served at school?
Lunch will be available for purchase similar to other school systems. Breakfast will not be served at this time, but may be in the future as the school grows.
  • How can I stay up-to-date on the school’s approval process?
Sign up for our newsletter - click here.
  • Are donations required? What will they go towards?
Donations to the school are not required for enrollment. Unlike regular public schools, charter schools must provide their own funding for capital expenses such as buildings and the inventory found inside them. So while the government does provide funding for each student attending, we also have to look to other sources of revenue to make up the significant deficit.
  • What is a Classical Education?
Classical schools take an approach to education characterized by a traditional liberal arts and sciences curriculum and pedagogy, and an orientation towards truth, beauty, and goodness that aims to cultivate wise and virtuous citizens.
